Dear Educator,
Thank you for allowing and facilitating my work with
Jenny. You have been helpful and informative in a situation in which you could
have easily pointed to your high workload and many commitments and suggested
that I look elsewhere for help with my research.
I have enjoyed assessing and instructing Jenny these past few
months, you have a receptive and apt pupil. Moreover, she has
given both honest input and earnest effort. I would like to share with you some
thoughts about her reading and writing.
As you know Jenny has struggled with her literacy
development. You also know she is very willing to work hard and try new things.
She and I have been working on some book selection strategies so as to benefit
more efficiently during trips to the public, school and classroom library. These
strategies will also aid her during SSR time. We also worked on coming up with
some pre, post and midstream reading comprehension strategies. These appear on
the bookmark I laminated for her. You know as well as I do, the needs and strengths
of your students.
If you are interested in a more detailed description
of my findings, feel free to call or e-mail me. Even more beneficial would be
to
You will find all my findings and research concerning
Jenny.
Thanks again for your time,
Justin
