- Responses to Reflections on Framing Literacy 8,
Trust me, you are going to need every bit of this information and more. I am
finding this book extremely helpful in guiding my reading lessons. I keep this
book with me at all times and when I write my lesson plans, I refer to the
book. I really like the fact that the authors use real classroom teachers to
illustrate and give examples. That is what I like best about the book.
However, I am a little confused on how to give my classroom a reading/writing
workshop setting. Can you help? -Jacqueline
Jacqueline- One thing you might want to try is to implement aspects of the
reading/workshop part by part, and only after you have a chance to see it
in action. If you can use your planning time a few days a week to observe
someone at your school who has does or could do reading writing workshop
during that time. Some principals might even allow you a day of observation
to go to a few different classrooms and observe... Justin
